All of Prospect Butcher Co’s meats are pasture raised and sourced from local farms. We’re proud to bring their quality meats to Prospect Heights!
Wondering where PBC’s incredible pork comes from? The answer is Meili Farm and farmers Thatcher and Greg. The pastured hogs are fed twice daily a mix of their farm-milled feed, vegetables, hay and whey from two local cheesemakers. Their animals are free to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine!
PBC’s delicious beef comes from the McEnroe Organic Farm and farmers, Ray and Eric. The farm has been NOFA-NY Certified Organic for over 25 years and it is one of New York’s oldest and most diverse organic farms. All livestock are pasture-raised and they never use added hormones, antibiotics, or genetically-modified seed for livestock feed.
Goffle Road Poultry Farm provides PBC’s chicken and other poultry. The farm has been family owned and operated for four generations and has expanded to working with Amish farmers in Pennsylvania. All birds are free-roam and natural, free of antibiotics, preservatives, and animal by-products.
PBC’s lamb, veal, and pork comes from Gibson Family Farms, run by farmers Dustin and Kassie Gibson. Their mission is to practice sustainable, responsible, and natural farming, resulting in long-term growth and regeneration. The animals graze rotationally, helping soil growth and providing variety for the animals.
